Working with the tree and instance editor

Instance Editor

The instance editor is used to manage the selection and placement of the accepted concept within a classification.

• change the accepted concept
• change the status of a name within the classification (accepted, excluded)
• remove a name from the classification

The classification is edited via an associated workspace.

Choosing a workspace

Used to select the accepted instance in the workspace and edit the placement of that instance

• • to select the workspace
    • user account drop down
    • select classification
      • select workspace

Editing the currently accepted instance in the workspace

search the name, select it, display the instances for the name

selecting the currently accepted instance - on Class tab can

• • update the status (accepted, excluded, non APC parent(?)
  • remove name from the accepted taxonomy

Choosing a new accepted instance in the workspace

choose the new instance

displays an option "Use this instance in APC" ????
